3. "VOICES OF HONOR" DADT REPEAL RALLY

Wednesday, April 28
7:00am-8:00pm
Purdue Memorial Mall
Come join QSU and the Human Rights campaign as we rally to support the repeal of the military's discriminatory Don't Ask Don't Tell policy. The HRC's Voices of Honor Tour has made its way across the country as well as Indiana and is now coming to West Lafayette.
Events will be occuring throughout the day at the following times and locations.
7:00am: Placement of American flags on Purdue Memorial Mall to symbolize all 800 specialists that have been discharged under DADT
1:00pm - 2:00 pm: Voices of Honor, Press conference at Memorial Mall with local veterans and will be covered by local news media.
*THIS IS THE MAIN EVENT!! WE NEED YOU AND ALL YOUR FRIENDS TO ATTEND!!*
7:00pm: "Ask Not" screening, a PBS documentary, followed by a discussion with veteran leaders fighting for the repeal of DADT. This event will occur at Pride Lafayette located at 640 Main Street Lafayette, Indiana.

ANNIE PROULX READING

English Department and Purdue University Libraries hosts Annie Proulx reading at Fowler Hall. Annie Proulx is the winner of the National Book Award and Pulitzer Prize, whose short story “Brokeback Mountain” is the basis for the famous Ang Lee movie of the same name.

"MA VIE EN ROSE" Movie

LWSN 1142
This Belgian film tells the story of Ludovic, a child who was born male but consistently insists that he is supposed to be a girl.  The film shows the struggle over gender identity that he, his family and his family neighborhood experience.
Hosted by the Diversity Resource Office as a part of their Diversity Cafe Film Series
